8th Annual “RED Day” Set to Lend a Hand in Oshawa
Keller Williams Energy part of community service initiative across the Durham Region
Durham Region—May 12, 2016— Keller Williams associates may be taking the day off from selling real estate on Thursday, May 12th, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates and Staff of Keller Williams Energy have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service. As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Energy has chosen to spend the day at Boys and Girls Club of Durham in Oshawa. Our projects this year will include painting walls, doors, ceiling & trim, replacing ceiling tiles, washing windows and yard work/outdoor maintenance.
“RED Day embodies Keller Williams belief system of teamwork and results through people. Amazing acts happen when a group of individuals come together to volunteer their time to enhance the community,” said RED Day organizer Julita Jaworski. “In 2015, we were able to help renew Big Brother Big Sisters of Clarington. We have witnessed the tremendous impact our day of giving had on the BBBS staff and volunteers, and on each one of us personally. RED Day is a one day expression of what happens 24/7 in Keller Williams Energy culture.”
Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given hundreds of thousands of hours of community service through activities ranging from food and clothing drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens, painting shelters and revitalizing schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
Take a peek below at what happened for RED DAY 2015.
